The food and staff were great the place looked really good too, But it would be nice to have some mexican themed music mixed in to what they had playing I think it would just boost the atmosphere, If I was nit pick my only grip would be to have fresh red peppers and green chillis on the food, I think the ones on the food were pickled, but they were ok, And my other one is to change the pickled gherkins your using the ones we had were not nice, Other than the very minor things mentioned it was a great even meal and look forward to returning and trying other things on the menu, hopefully with some better gherkins
Everything was incredible! We got the sharing platter and absolutely couldn’t finish it. One of the best meals we’ve ever had, everything was hot, fresh and meat was tender and juicy. The churro milkshake was so good with a warm churro on top! Really nice atmosphere and staff were awesome! cant wait to come back!
Ooh, good Mexican restaurants are few and far between so I was thrilled to discover Mexicali in beautiful Holmfirth. We had a beef burrito and beef tacos with draft Corona and a side of the best mac n cheese I've ever tasted. The whole experience was fun and absolutely delicious. We sat in the outside area with our dogs so were lucky to get a warm September day. Will definitely return, thank you!
The best Mexican food I’ve EVER tasted! So good! I would 1000% recommend! Staff are super friendly too! Dogs are allowed outside which is a plus! Great music and atmosphere! They also have a full vegan menu!!
Incredible meat feast! After salivating over their menu for a couple of months I made the trip and left with a buzz from the superb food I had. The 'Smokehouse Stack' burger stood out for me and I accompanied it with the smoked ribs starter. Beautiful flavour to those and a delicious BBQ sauce. The burger was elite and definitely the star of the show. I questioned it when it came out because it had a big helping of fried chicken which it doesn't state on the menu. An added bonus it seems! Not that there wasn't enough meat packed between the buns already! A nicely cooked thick beef patty (for which there should have been 2, so maybe that has changed to accommodate some chicken?), lovely smoked bacon, melt in the mouth brisket and lush pulled pork. They used just the right amount of sauce to prevent it being a sloppy mess but I was still covered in it, to my pleasure though! My portion of tater tots was a good size and everything was piping hot. The staff were great and provided excellent efficient service. The place has a nice ambience too. I highly recommend it.
I visited with my family for the second time. My 7 year old daughter said to me "The people who come to our table are really kind". The service was great, the food came out on time and was fantastic. It's also really nice to see a restaurant with lots of young staff, giving them the experience and opportunity in a challenging economy. Great work guys, thanks for having us.
Love this place!! One of my favourite Mexican restaurants ever!! Staff are super friendly and effective. They are a credit to that place!! Margaritas were some of the best I've had!! Food was delicious!!! We will be back again soon!! You must try the Frickles!!!
